الأزمة السورية : كاميرون يروج لطريق آمن للأسد

Britain would be prepared to allow Syria's president, Bashar al-Assad, to be given safe passage to a third country as a way of ending the violence, David Cameron told al-Arabiya. He said: "I am certainly not offering him an exit plan to Britain but if wants to leave, he could leave, that could be arranged."

Brother of Syrian parliament speaker assassinated in Damascus

شقيق المتحدث بأسم البرلمان السوري أغتيل في دمشق

Gunmen killed the brother of Syria 's parliament speaker as he drove to work in Damascus on today, the state-run news agency reported, as the international envoy for Syria warned the country could become another Somalia .

Mohammed Osama Laham, brother of Parliament Speaker Jihad Laham, was killed in the Damascus neighborhood of Midan, the SANA news agency said.

David Cameron would 'do anything' to get Assad out of Syria in bid to end bloodshed

ديفد كاميرون يحاول فعل أي شيء لإخراج الأسد من سوريا لإيقاف إراقة الدماء.

Prime Minister David Cameron suggested today that Syria 's president Bashar al-Assad could be allowed safe passage out of the country if that option would guarantee an end to the nation's civil war.

In an interview with Al Arabiya television, Cameron said the international community should consider anything "to get that man out of the country and to have a safe transition in Syria .

ديفد كاميرون : اتركوا بشار الأسد يغادر للخارج

The Syrian President Bashar al-Assad should be allowed a safe passage out of the country if that would end the bloodshed, David Cameron has said.

Speaking during a trip to the Middle East , the Prime Minister said it “could be arranged” for him to flee and potentially escape international justice over the bloody repression.

The Prime Minister said it could be "arranged" for Bashar al-Assad to leave Syria, although Britain would not shelter him.

He spoke of his desire for the Syrian president to stand down at any cost, as he arrived in Jeddah for meetings with the king of Saudi Arabia .

He opened up the possibility of an arranged exit as he prepared for talks with King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia in Jeddah.

Car bomb in Damascus after 250 Syrians die in one day

إنفجار سيارة في دمشق بعد موت 250 شخص في يوم واحد

 As the opposition met in Qatar under pressure to form a truly representative government-in-exile, the Syrian regime was reeling from a wave of rebel car bombs and attacks that killed nearly 100 soldiers and pro-government fighters on Monday.

Another car bomb struck early Tuesday, causing injuries and significant damage in the city of Mudamiya near the capital, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

BEIRUT , Lebanon — Gunmen assassinated the brother of the Syrian Parliament speaker on Tuesday in a central Damascus neighborhood, the official Syrian news agency reported, as clashes between government forces and the rebels convulsed most major cities and seven defecting Syrian generals fled into neighboring Turkey .

BEIRUT — Gunmen killed the brother of Syria ’s parliament speaker in a hail of bullets as he drove to work in Damascus on Tuesday, the state news agency said, as the international envoy for Syria warned the country could become another Somalia .

Mohammed Osama Laham, the brother of Parliament Speaker Jihad Laham, became the latest victim of a wave of assassinations targeting Syrian officials, army officers and other prominent supporters of President Bashar Assad’s regime. Four of the leader’s top security officials were killed in a rebel bombing on the state security headquarters in Damascus in July.
